It all depends on the type of renovation; it’s impossible to generalize because it all depends on the complexity of each project. However, to give you some guidelines, a bathroom renovation in Barcelona will take about two weeks, a kitchen renovation about four weeks, and a complete apartment renovation in Barcelona starting at three months. These are approximate construction timelines. In addition, you have to factor in the time it takes to develop the project, which will depend on the decision-making capacity of both the client and the designer. It’s recommended to invest a significant amount of time in the interior design phase so that all the details are considered, ensuring the work runs smoothly and without downtime.

Today, it’s very difficult to estimate the price of a renovation without more information due to the wide range of finishes, qualities, and execution methods available on the market. In any case, we recommend that renovations be planned following these requirements: that the neighbors agree (this will always help maintain better harmony during the process), that the project is well-defined, with the necessary materials already ordered (many manufacturers take advantage of this time to complete their entire production run), and that it be considered as extra work time, not included in the time agreed upon with the construction company.

It is recommended to call the relevant Town Hall or consult the procedures section on the website of the relevant entity in order to make the inquiry.
