Complete renovation of an apartment in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona. The project maximizes natural light and reorganizes the apartment into two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area, combining terrazzo-effect flooring, wood, iron, and custom-made furniture.
DESCRIPTION
Interior renovation of an apartment designed by Isabel Cochà, who successfully highlighted the most architecturally significant, understated, and elegant aspects of this listed building in the Gràcia neighborhood, resulting in a fantastically harmonious space. The renovation brought an explosion of natural light that was nonexistent before the renovation. The apartment comprises two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an open-plan living room, kitchen, and dining area.
OAK2000 carried out the complete renovation, from the initial demolition to the new layout, installations, and finishes. A stunning continuous terrazzo-effect flooring was installed and extended to vertical surfaces such as the kitchen backsplash and some of the bathroom walls. Custom-made ceiling cabinets and bathroom vanities were combined with iron furniture inserts. The kitchen features a lacquered finish from Dica.
