New construction of an apartment building in the Gràcia district of Barcelona. The low-energy building incorporates passive design strategies, efficient insulation, and renewable energy sources. Its design combines thermal, acoustic, and lighting comfort with traditional materials, curved geometries, and a contemporary urban aesthetic.

A block of apartments designed to enjoy maximum thermal, acoustic and lighting comfort.
This new building, with its very low energy demand and passive design strategies, integrates seamlessly into the built environment of Barcelona’s Gràcia district, highlighting the surrounding architectural style and the experiences fostered by traditional features such as stucco, Alicante-style blinds, and handmade ceramics. Inside, curvilinear geometries, richly textured materials, and abundant natural light create a space that appeals to a contemporary urban sensibility.
OAK carried out the works from the ground up, planning and taking care of every detail, using active insulation and renewable energies to rationalize resource consumption, successfully culminating the closing of the work in hand with the project designers Calderón Folch Studio
