Albert and Mireia. Complete renovation on Avenida de Madrid

Interview with Albert and Mireia, owners of the renovated home on Avenida Madrid:  

What were your reasons for hiring OAK2000?

Initially, we requested a quote from you based on the shop window display. We really liked the style it showcased: simple, elegant, and modern. We also liked the combination of materials displayed and the chosen color palette.

We ultimately chose OAK2000 from among the three quotes we requested due to budget constraints. We also appreciated that they were the ones who listened to us the most .

What strengths would you highlight about our team? And weaknesses?

Strengths: -You have a team that responds to different demands; there is nothing that “falls out” or that you don’t have to do with others. -The coordinator -in our case, Olga- is also a strong point since you only have one interlocutor and one person who manages everything with whom you have fluid contact but who only gets in touch when necessary. -The wide range of suppliers they work with. – Productive meetings because they are based on a good selection of materials presented to you, chosen according to your tastes and needs. – Proactive in making proposals at the design and technical levels, but also, in turn, very adaptable in accepting small adjustments, as far as possible, during the execution of the works. Weak points: -We miss a certain leadership from a foreman on the technical side. Regarding the more technical questions (leveling the parquet flooring, soundproofing the woodwork, communications installations, gas meter location, etc.), communication was delayed because it wasn’t possible to speak directly with the person who had the answers. Particularly with the gas meter issue, some malfunctions within the team were observed in front of the client. -The schedule was delayed more than desired; the Christmas period was not taken into account in the project plan. In summary: the strengths far outweigh the weaknesses.

Have we met your expectations?

Expectations met. We are very happy with the final result. Deadlines: there is some room for improvement, although we have been working within an acceptable range.

Has combining construction work with daily work/family life been a problem…?

Comprehensive renovations are an added burden, but they have helped us to manage them.

Would you recommend OAK2000 to your family and friends?

Yes (already done). It’s been a pleasure working with you all , and especially with you, Olga. Thank you so much for everything, and I just wanted to add that Arnau is very happy with his new house.
