There are several elements to consider: the floor, the differentiation of spaces, the walls, the furniture… we are faced with a wide range of possibilities that can sometimes be a little difficult to deal with.

If you don’t want to do a lot of renovations at home, we can consider replacing or overlaying the existing flooring with natural wood or composite decking as part of your interior design project . How do you know which one to choose?

Natural wood is a warm and elegant material that requires maintenance and, due to its exposure to the elements, ages over time. Composite decking, on the other hand, is a synthetic material that imitates natural wood flooring. It requires no maintenance and does not age. However, its main drawback is that if it is damaged, it cannot be repaired, unlike natural wood decking.

We can also replace the existing flooring with wood-look porcelain tiles. Unlike the previous two options, this material is weather-resistant and, of course, easy to maintain.

If you have a large space, you can combine any of the aforementioned flooring materials with another, such as artificial grass. This allows you to highlight different areas, like a relaxation zone versus a dining area.

Have you considered changing the color of your terrace walls when you’re renovating? A coat of paint, besides being economical and easy, offers a wide variety of colors to choose from, allowing you to find the one that best suits the rest of the space and the style you want to create.

Good outdoor furniture and a touch of greenery with some plants will give our arrangement the finishing touch. And here we have a wide range of possibilities, from arrangements with sofas, armchairs, and small tables for a more relaxed space, to dining sets, or even hammocks for getting that tan we all want for the summer.
