We participated in the BCN RE.SET
From June 10th you will have the opportunity to visit the work that OAK has created for the ephemeral architecture circuit on the street “BCN RE.SET” in Plaza Nueva, in front of the Barcelona Cathedral.
The exhibition consists of 7 installations spread throughout the city of Barcelona that propose to reflect on concepts such as freedom, identity or memory.
This urban circuit will be part of the BCN Tricentenary celebrations, which will last all summer.
The 7 proposals are as follows:
1. Citadel. Central installation. Benedetta Tagliabue (EMTB) and Àlex Ollé. Ciutadella Park
2. Identity. Urbanus (Liu Xiaodu, architect). La Salle School (URL). Pl Nova OAK!
3. Freedom. Anupama Kundoo. IAAC School. Salvador Seguí Square
4. Europe. Urban-Think Tank (Alfredo Brillembourg). ESARQ School (UIC). Pl del Mar
5. Diversity. Odile Decq. Pl dels Àngels
6. Democracy. Peter Cook. Pl de la Mercè
7. Memory. Grafton Architects. Elisava School. Arc de Triomf
OAK, in contact with the architecture studio URBANUS and the La Salle School, have built piece by piece the ephemeral architectural work IDENTITY that simulates the Catalan tour.
The structure is made up of hundreds of identical, prefabricated, cross-shaped pieces from China that fit together to create different volumes. Each piece is installed by hand, one by one, with precision and leveling controls.

OAK has managed both the collection of materials and the placement and management of the work as well as the lighting part of the installation, completing the work successfully and with recognition from the project’s creators.

The structure will be installed until September 11th and available to all citizens and visitors of Barcelona.
At OAK we are very proud to have collaborated with these events and we reaffirm our commitment to the culture and architecture of the city.
