A good option is to opt for ecological materials such as wood: materials that are not polluting either in their production or during their useful life, and that do not require harmful substances for their maintenance or installation. At the same time, choosing more durable materials that do not need to be replaced in the short term will reduce the amount of waste and its future management.
• Proximity : Choosing local businesses and manufacturers not only reduces costs but also saves on unnecessary emissions from transporting goods. Furthermore, it supports local businesses.
• Household appliances : choose appliances with the “eco” label and low consumption, which not only protect the environment but also our household economy.
• Conditioning: building efficiently, considering factors such as the orientation of the rooms and investing in good enclosure and conditioning systems, will reduce the CO2 footprint of our home.
