Undertaking a<\/span> complete home renovation in Barcelona<\/b> on the recommendation of one of your best friends is always a challenge, but if you also add the name<\/span> Coderch<\/b> , and a new period in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, it can become a feat.<\/span><\/h2>\nEven so, we accepted the challenge and after an analysis by the clients of different offers from<\/span> construction companies in Barcelona<\/b> , \u200b\u200bthey commissioned us to carry out the complete renovation of their home, due to the speed, transparency and trust that our assessment had generated.<\/span>\n\n\"Complete<\/span>\n\nThe Vilablanch<\/b> studio<\/span> was commissioned to update a 180 m2 apartment for a family of 3 children, in a prominent building in Barcelona, \u200b\u200bbuilt by Jos\u00e9 Antonio Coderch<\/a> .<\/span>\n

The aim was to maintain the character of this work, so representative of Barcelona architecture of the 70s, adapting it to family needs and the comfort of modern life.<\/span><\/h3>\nFor example, the facilities were completely renovated, and an<\/span> aerothermal<\/b> system was chosen that provides the home with domestic hot water and heats the entire surface of the home through radiant floor heating.<\/span> \n\n\"Complete<\/span>\n\nIn order to maintain the height and respect the level of the landing, it was necessary to demolish all the ceramic flooring as well as the lower compression plate, which in turn required the demolition of all the existing partition walls, a fact that was used to incorporate another bathroom into the original layout.<\/span>\n\nFollowing the premise of not altering the essence of the building but clearly committed to<\/span> energy efficiency<\/b> , it was decided to restore all the exterior enclosures, replacing the current glass with double-glazed and acoustic glass.<\/span>\n\nRegarding the finishes, a very neutral color base was chosen with natural and noble materials to add color to the humid rooms and more mobile elements such as furniture or textiles.<\/span>\n\n\"Complete<\/span>\n\nThe flooring throughout is a continuous, light-colored surface that brightens the home. The interior walls were completely renovated, and cedar-veneered wooden doors were chosen.
